Office Policies
At Geneseo Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, our goal is to provide thoughtful, timely, and attentive care to every patient. The following policies help us keep our schedule running smoothly and ensure that each appointment time is respected.
Appointment Cancellations
We understand that schedules change and unexpected circumstances come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the treatment amount. For a standard treatment, this fee is $40.
This policy allows us the opportunity to offer the appointment time to another patient who may be waiting for care.
Missed Appointments
Patients who do not arrive for a scheduled appointment and do not provide notice will be charged for the full cost of treatment.
Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may require prepayment in order to schedule future visits.
Payment Policy
Full payment is due at the time of service.
We currently accept:
Credit and debit cards
Cash
Check
Please note that payment is collected at the end of each visit unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Late Arrivals
Please plan to arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but your treatment time may be shortened in order to avoid delaying the next patient.
If you are significantly late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and may be subject to the cancellation policy.
New Patient Forms
New patients may be asked to complete intake paperwork prior to their first appointment. These forms help us better understand your health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
Completing forms ahead of time allows us to make the most of your appointment.
Health and Safety
Please let us know before your appointment if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, or are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness. We are happy to help you reschedule when needed.
We also ask that patients notify us of any major changes in health, medications, pregnancy status, recent injuries, surgeries, or new diagnoses before treatment begins.
Communication
To keep scheduling as smooth and efficient as possible, patients are asked to make every effort to book appointments through our online scheduling portal.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please use the online portal whenever possible. If you are having trouble canceling or rescheduling online, please email us at GeneseoAcupuncture@gmail.com at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Cancellation or rescheduling requests received with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the cancellation policy outlined above.
For general questions about scheduling, appointment changes, or office matters, please contact us by email. We do our best to respond as promptly as possible during regular business hours.
For urgent or emergency medical concerns, please contact your physician, urgent care, or emergency services.
Our Commitment
We are grateful for the opportunity to support your health and wellness. These policies are designed to protect appointment availability, respect each patient’s time, and maintain a calm, organized, and caring environment for everyone who visits our office.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
